The Phénicia Clinic now offers a revolutionary technique in cosmetic dentistry: The technique of complete ceramic restorations performed according to the principles of neuromuscular dentistry.
Smile restoration using ceramic veneers is a well-established technique that delivers spectacular, long-lasting results. It can rejuvenate teeth that have been damaged, is painless, and can be completed in two or three sessions. By bonding a thin layer of ceramic (approximately 6/10ths of a millimeter thick), it can repair broken corners, mask cracked teeth, close diastemas (gaps between teeth), and restore ideal alignment, shape, and color to damaged teeth.
However, in many cases, aesthetic changes to the smile are accompanied by tooth wear. As the teeth lose height, the lower part of the face appears shorter and squat. This tooth wear is not a normal part of aging, but rather the result of various abnormalities in the positioning of the teeth in relation to each other (this positioning is called dental occlusion). Even a minimal dental occlusion defect can, in the short or long term, lead to symptoms such as migraines, joint, muscle, neck, and back pain, in addition to aesthetic damage.
Restoring tooth height and proper dental occlusion using full ceramic restorations based on the principles of neuromuscular dentistry eliminates most of these symptoms in many cases, in addition to providing obvious aesthetic benefits.
This technique is performed in five sessions after the initial consultation and in the absence of dental infections. These sessions are spread out over approximately two months. Restoring the lower third of the face to its proper height and proportions by increasing the height of abraded teeth improves the aesthetic appearance of the face from both the front and the side and can, to a certain extent, reduce some of the wrinkles around the mouth due to the tightening effect achieved.
