A neck lift is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately two hours. Patients can be discharged the day after or two days after the neck lift. Following a neck lift, swelling (mild edema) and bruising may appear in the neck and chin area.
These post-operative effects are completely normal and will disappear within two weeks after the operation.
