Medical photorejuvenation in Marseille – Rejuvenate with IPL

Photorejuvenation permanently removes skin blemishes (sun damage, rosacea, angiomas, etc.).

Explanations and objectives of the intervention

Over time and with repeated exposure to the sun, brown pigment spots appear on the skin. Other pigment spots caused by inflammation may also appear on the skin. These are red and usually vascular in nature (angiomas, rosacea, spider veins, erythrocolia). Photorejuvenation can permanently remove these skin spots.

In both cases, photorejuvenation or photorejuvenation can remove these spots, whether they are vascular or known as

"aging" and thus rejuvenate the patient's skin by evening out the complexion and reducing fine lines.

Areas such as the face, back of the hands, and décolleté can be treated using pulsed light produced by high-powered flash lamps in the photorejuvenation process.

The intervention

Superficial photorejuvenation uses a laser to remove skin blemishes, whether vascular or sun-induced. The procedure regenerates the dermis using a high-powered laser equipped with flash lamps, under medical supervision.

During deep photorejuvenation, the temperature of the deep dermis is increased and collagen formation is stimulated, allowing for the restructuring of facial tissues. The dermis is then thickened and the skin is tightened.

Resurfacing is mainly intended for patients with deep and numerous wrinkles. Based on the same principle as photorejuvenation, resurfacing intensely stimulates the skin using a powerful laser to permanently change its appearance.

As with laser hair removal, the wavelength produced by the flash lamp is chosen based on the patient's skin type and the color and nature of the pigmented lesion. For optimal results, 4 to 6 sessions spaced one month apart are necessary.

Postoperative care

The after-effects of superficial and deep photorejuvenation are minor and do not require any interruption of normal activities. The after-effects of resurfacing are similar to those of deep peeling.

Thin scabs covering the initial redness will appear before disappearing completely after 1 to 2 weeks following the procedure.
