Pectoral implants allow people of any age to increase their chest size by recreating a natural-looking, visibly more muscular appearance.
Objectives of the intervention
With age, the pectoral muscles relax. When younger, the chest muscles may appear underdeveloped. For some men, pectoral muscle exercises (pectoralis major and pectoralis minor muscles) are not enough to develop the chest muscles.
Pectoral implants allow people of any age to increase their chest size by recreating a natural-looking, visibly more muscular appearance.
The interventionPectoral implants are silicone gel prostheses that perfectly mimic the muscle. The shape and size of the implant are chosen based on the patient's body type and expectations.
The pectoral implant is placed under general anesthesia beneath the pectoral muscle.Postoperative care
The skin scar is hidden under the natural fold of the armpit (axillary approach) and therefore remains barely visible.
Swelling and slight bruising may appear in the chest area during the first few weeks after surgery. These will fade within the first few weeks after surgery. A feeling of tightness is felt in the days following the insertion of the chest implants. This unpleasant sensation is alleviated and controlled by taking appropriate medication prescribed by the surgeon.Sports activities can be resumed 1 or 2 months after surgery. A compression garment must be worn day and night for 1 month after surgery to limit impact.
