AMCPE – Mediterranean Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons

On Saturday, June 23, one of the main meetings of the AMCPE (Mediterranean Association of Plastic Surgeons) was held in the famous Villa Delauze in the heart of the city on the old port of Marseille, organized by Dr. Richard Abs of Marseille.

The theme of this session, "The Old Hands of Facelifts," brought together the most experienced French plastic surgeons in the field of facelifts, who shared their experiences gained over many years.

  • Dr. Alain Bonnefon (Montpellier)
  • Dr. Jean Louis Goin (Bordeaux-Paris)
  • Dr. Hugues Giffon (Lyon)
  • Dr. Bernard Cornette St Cyr (Paris)
  • Dr. Alain Fogli (Marseille)
  • Dr. André Thion (Marseille)
  • Dr. Christian Marinetti (Marseille)

The discussions covered all the progress made over more than 40 years in the field of facelifts, the progress that remains to be made, and all the prospects for the future by combining cosmetic surgery with new methods of skin rejuvenation (lipofilling, the prospect of using PRP stem cells, thread lifts, deep peels, etc.).

Surgical facelifts, as they are currently conceived, remain the premier and essential procedure for facial rejuvenation. This gathering of France's leading rejuvenation specialists has brought about an extraordinary update in this field. We can only congratulate and thank AMCEP President Dr. Richard Abs for organizing, hosting, and carrying out this exciting and extraordinary event in a unique location, bringing together the old guard of French cosmetic surgery facelifts.
